MAVERICKS QUALIFIES 3 TEAMS FOR JO'S IN DALLAS, TEXAS!

Congratulations 16-Kyle and 14-Phil on qualifying for Junior Olympics!

14-Phil received a regional bid to the Junior Olympics in the 14-American division! The girls have worked so hard this year and we are very proud of their well deserved bid. Great job Coach Phil, Coach Rachel and especially all of the 14's team on a great season and go get em in Dallas!

16-Kyle also received a regional bid to the Junior Olympics in the 16-American division. Battling through an injury plauged season, it was a complete team effort in the last month to seal the deal for the 16's. Congratulations to Coach Kyle and the 16's! Your hard work has paid off!

15-Aaron Qualifies for USA Volleyball Championships in the 15-Open Division!

Mavericks 15-Aaron finished 3rd in the No Dinx Farwestern Junior National Qualifier to earn an Open bid to JO's. Only 28 teams in the country will be awarded bids to the prestigous Open division. They compiled a record of 8-2 over the weekend including dramatic back to back wins over San Gabriel (19-17 in 3) and Mad Frog (18-16 in 3) to clinch the bid. Battling through injuries and a setter with food poisoning, it was a complete team effort. The 15's topped it off with a blowout of rival Club west 15-Elite in the Bronze medal match 25-11 25-18. We are very proud of our 15s on a great accomplishment. GO MAVERICKS!

 Kelly Shulte to MIT!

Kelly Schulte, Mavericks 18's team OH/OPP, has recently been honored with an acceptance to Massachusettes Institute of Technology.  MIT is ranked as the seventh best school in the world and best engineering school in the United States.  Not only does she plan to attend this top ten school, but she has the pleasure of playing volleyball there as well (MIT finished off strong last year with a 36-3 win-loss record; second in their conference).  Kelly plans to major in Nuclear Engineering, with the hopes of becoming a Radiation Therapist in order to treat those affected with cancer.  The two year tenure at Mavericks Volleyball Club has enhanced Kelly's volleyball skills; this year she was awarded Second Team All CIF, All County Honorable Mention, First Team All IVY League, and MVP of her Ramona High School Girl's Volleyball Team.  In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Kelly maintains a 4.4 GPA and serves her community by leading the Riverside Against Drugs Program and Peer Counseling Team in her high school, and Youth Ministering and Alter Serving at her church.  Our Mavericks Family is proud of Kelly's outstanding accomplishments.

15-Aaron's Madison Dreyer Recognized in FROSH 59
Congratulations to Madison Dreyer on making PrepVolleyball.com's "Frosh 59" list. The "Frosh 59" recognizes the best high school freshman in the nation. Madison has been a Maverick since she was 11 years old and has developed into a very wonderful athlete and person. She helped lead 14-Black team in 2007 to a 5th place finish at the Junior Olympics and now as a member of 15-Aaron plans to do the same. We are very proud of Madison and can't wait to see what the future has in store for her!

Ariana Williams named as one of the Nations Top Sophmores!
Congratulations to Ariana Williams, a sophmore middle blocker/ outside hitter on Mavericks 15-Aaron for making Prepvolleyball.com's "Soph 79". In just one year, Ariana Williams has burst onto the national volleyball scene with her pure athleticism and passion for the game. She has used her 10'2'' approach and her determination to be the best and propel her to such high honors. The Mavericks family is very proud of Ariana and her accomplishments. Keep working hard!
