Gene Krieger is a well-recognized coach in the world of volleyball. He began his athletic career by playing both basketball and volleyball at Portland State in Oregon. He also played 7 years with “Athletes in Action” around the world. Gene coached at the NCAA Division 2 for 12 years and earned both NCAA and NAIA Coach of the Year honors during this career. Gene is a member of the “Tachikara 300 Win Club," an acknowlegement of his success as a college coacl. Gene was owner and director of the Riverside Volleyball Club for 10 years and has coached club volleyball for over 12 years. Gene is currently the head coach at Marting Luther King High School in Riverside where he also helps to run many camps and clinics.
In addition to coaching the 16-1s, Gene serves as the Mavericks Recruiting Coordinator. His extensive experience as a college coach has enabled Gene to develop relationships with college coaches around the country. Gene will work with our girls to help provide the exposure necessary to continue their education as well as their volleyball careers in college. We are very lucky to have him here and we know your daughter will be as well.
